ACTS clinicians use a strength-based approach when working with their clients.
The purpose of treatment is to enhance clients’ well-being. Resilience, self-esteem and confidence will be improved by increasing the client’s understanding of their ADHD or executive function challenges, developing new approaches that address these challenges and building on current strengths.
WORKSHOPS
These workshops are designed to provide individuals with accurate information about ADHD as well as to increase their understanding of treatment options and coping strategies.
PARENT GROUPS
This group is for the parents of children with ADHD between the ages of 5 – 10 years.
This group is for the parents of youth with ADHD between the ages of 11 – 15 years.
EXECUTIVE FUNCTION PROGRAMS
This group is for children ages 8-10 years with executive functioning challenges.
This specialized counselling is for indivudals with challenges in organization, task and time management, and self regulation.
COUNSELLING
Individual counselling helps those with ADHD address challenges and build on strengths in order to reach their life goals.
Couples impacted by ADHD are at high risk of relationship difficulties. Couples counselling helps partners re-establish the connection that initially brought them together and strengthen their partnership moving forward.
Through parent counselling, you will learn effective skills and strategies to better manage the behaviour of your child or adolescent with ADHD.
